Week 1 of my weight watchers regime has lost me 3 lbs, yay! It seems like everyone in our Facebook support group (Fat to Fit) has lost weight as well so we seem to be on the right track. It's pretty exciting. The only time I ever REALLY lost weight was 3 years ago when I had hired a personal trainer and lost about 15 lbs in 3 months. I was feeling amazing but then out of nowhere had to have emergency surgery due to a ruptured cyst and that ultimately knocked me on my butt for the next 6 months :( I fell off the horse then, but I'm back on it now.
I've noticed that I have been using most of my points during the day and then eating minimally at night, which I heard is a good thing to try and do. I also find that eating a nice full breakfast keeps me satisfied until lunch time. My favorite lunch meal right now for lunch that I mentioned in my last post is the Smart Ones Mini Rigatoni. It's so plentiful! In the evenings I've been having grilled chicken with roasted or grilled veggies, or a turkey burger with cheese along with the veggies. Making the effort to having veggies every night has been quite a change but it's obviously helping.
I used to grill veggies before by coating them in extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper but olive oil is 4 stinkin points!!! So I've resorted to PAM cooking spray, which is 0, but its not that tasty. Does anyone have any recommendations there?
I also started shopping around for a bikini, which I think I might buy and hang up in my bedroom as motivation. I've NEVER worn a bikini before! My husband and I are going to Mexico in April for our 1 year anniversary (hence the weight watchers) & my goal is to get into a bikini by then. I also have removed my cute little pup from my phone's wallpaper and replaced it with a bikini-clad Sofia Vergara, just to remind me every time I look at my phone that I'm working towards a goal.
