Please watch this area to see when everything is updated. We will continue working on all of the requests as soon as we get the updates done. So please be patient as it is very time consuming! Thanks, JDN Staff.

Great site!

Live in a smallish town in Northern California which is the Mendocino Brewing Company. I would love if you could list ALL of their beers, but the one's I drink the most are:

- Red Tail Ale
- Blue Heron Pale Ale

Thanks in advance!!!

LOVE this website - thanks so much! Just wanted to mention that per the current US PointsPlus plan, it's actually 4 points for a 5oz glass of wine. Your table states 4oz. (And every ounce counts!) ;-)

Hello,
Can someone please help me with counting cider (alcholic). It's a very common summer drink in Western Canada, but I guess not elsewhere as I can't find the Points for them anywhere... For Grower's cider, the nutritional information shows
120 cal, 0g for everything else.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Stephanie,

I would say this is 3 PointsPlus. I cannot calculate it exactly as you don't provide enough information. But usually a drink with that amount of calories is 3 PointsPlus.

Thank you so much for your work and this website!

Hi June,

Well after calculating the PointsPlus on this, it would be very difficult to drink one of these and keep within your points range. Here's the info:

Bud Lite Lime-A-Rita 12 oz serving Weight Watchers PointsPlus

Calories: 330
Carbs: 44g

8 Points / 10 PointsPlus

Be careful what you drink!! :)

Does anyone know what the points are for Twisted Tea products?

Hi Jenn,

Here is the twisted tea nutrition info and PointsPlus:

Twisted Tea Nutrition Information And Weight Watchers PointsPlus:

Original - Calories: 220, Carbs:31g (7 PointsPlus)
Hard Iced Tea 5% - Calories: 220, Carbs:31g (7 PointsPlus)
Half And Half - calories: 260, Carbs: 34g (8 PointsPlus)
Raspberry - Calories: 232g, Carbs 29g (7 PointsPlus)
Peach - Calories: 240g, Carbs: 37g (8 PointsPlus)
Light - Calories: 110, Carbs: 0g (3 PointsPlus)

All have been calculated using the following method:

Carbs * 4 = X
Calories - X = Y
Y / 7 = Z
Z = Fat

Now put the information into the caluclator the normal way using just the Calories, Fat & Carbs since there is not protein or fiber.

Hope that helps!

Just wanted to let everyone know out there that any alcoholic drink is NEVER 0 points. I am a member of weight watchers and before I knew what I was doing for my alcoholic beverages I would calculate the carbs and fat, etc for the Palm Bay coolers that I LOVE and if you don't know how to properly calculate then it would be 0 points based on the nutritional information when it is really 3 points for 1 because it is based on the alcohol content. So most coolers will be between 3 and 5 points and shots of alcohol will be about 3 points and then you need to calculate what you are mixing with it. This is just a rough calculation because all drinks depending on what it is being mixed with will be different but it is just to give you an idea of what you would be looking at. Hope this helps you out. Happy Drinking!!!

What a fantastic site...thank you John for putting it together. I have had some Seagrems Escape wine coolers in my refrigerator for several months afraid to drink them because I couldn't figure the points on them. This chart is great. I'm wodering on the Peach Fuzzy navel one though if it is a typo that it only has 4 carbs when all the others have so many more carbs. I happen to have some of the Peach fuzzy navel in my refrigerator and have a hard time believing it is zero points. Any input? and thanks again for this great site. Karen

Hello,
Can someone please help me with counting cider (alcholic). It's a very common summer drink in Western Canada, but I guess not elsewhere as I can't find the Points for them anywhere... For Grower's cider, the nutritional information shows
120 cal, 0g for everything else.

Thanks,
Stephanie

Hi Jamie,

For Redd's Apple Ale, Points = 4, PointsPlus=6
For the Michelob Light Cider, Points = 3, PointsPlus = 5

I'm currently working on updating the entire Alcohol page as I have seen a few on the list that does need updating and I now know how to calculate alcohol correctly. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your stay! Also be on the lookout for our App!
:-)

Hey klarson,

Thanks for that info!

This is a great website! Do you have any idea how hard ciders weigh in when it comes to points? Specifically the new Redd's Apple Ale (technically an ale but tastes like a cider) and the Michelob ultra light cider? We go boating in the summer and I feel like alcohol really hurts my weight loss. Just want to make sure I am counting correctly. Thanks you!!

Hey Kara,

Thanks for you comments. It's a little tricky to calculate Points for alcohol as there isn't any calculations that Weight Watchers provides. The alcohol content by weight needs to be entered into the Weight Watchers calculator as fat. So, for example, for a 15oz can of Guinness, there are 12g of carbs. The beer is 4.2% alcohol by volume. 15 fluid ounces is 444g of beer. Convert alcohol by volume to alcohol by weight by multiplying by 0.79: 4.2% x 0.79 = 3.3%. 3.3% x 444 = 14.7g of alcohol. Using the Weight Watchers calculator, that yields 5 pts plus for a 15oz can of Guinness.

Hey, this site is great. I really appreciate the work you've put into it!
How do you calculate these points? If you tell us how you do it then so many people wouldn't have to ask you about their obscure drinks?

For example, I really enjoy Absinthe but I haven't been able to find any information on how many points it would be anywhere at all! The particular brand that I drink is called Lucid.

I'm guessing the lack of information is due to it previously being an illegal drink...but it's not anymore sooooo...how many points would it be?

Thank you!

Hello So Confused,

Alcohol is a little funny with Weight Watchers. I'm a little confused as well. According to Weight Watchers, a 4 oz glass of wine is 4 PointsPlus. When you calculate it out it does come to 1 PointsPlus. So after thinking about it, it seems that they are trying to wean people away from alcohol. I wish I could explain this better but hope it helped a little. Anyone else care to explain that would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Thank you to John who put this up! I am confused, though, and would appreciate if someone can help me understand. When I put in the values for a 5 oz glass of wine, the WW calculator says 1 point! I know this seems wrong, which is why I looked elsewhere for answers, but can someone help me understand this? The values I put in the calculator are 4 gm carb, 0 fiber, 0 protein, 0 fat (from nutritiondata.self.com/.../2). Thank you! ;-)

Ali B,
It is essential to always calculate the PointsPlus for alcohol as it definitely does count towards your daily points allowance. I know I don't like to count them either, but its what you have to do. Just try to cut back a bit and see how it goes from there.

-----------------------------------------

Samantha,
I don't know why Weight Watchers has this as zero PointsPlus. Of course this is not accurate. If you have 6 Miller Lite beers there's no way that 6 beers is 0 PointsPlus. So just make sure you check this chart next time you go out!

-----------------------------------------

Leanne,
There are approximately 264 calories in 660ml of Cobra Beer. It would be safe to estimate the PointsPlus for this is 6-7. So 330ml is about half that.

-----------------------------------------

Miranda,
If there is anyway that you could help us out and complete this list that would be greatly appreciated! Please let me know.

-----------------------------------------

Jen,
There are approximately 75 calories in a 12 oz Sea Dog Bluepaw Wild Blueberry Wheat Ale making it 2 PointsPlus

-----------------------------------------

I hope this helps everyone out a bit. And sorry for the long delay in responding!

-John
